Central Bark Doggy Day Care
Central
Bark Doggy Day Care in Racine
held its one-year anniversary
party on November 14, and boy did
they have a great time!
The day of fun
began early with invites to both
dogs and humans alike. There was
food, beverages, and even pet
photos for holiday cards with a
generous silent auction held to
benefit Countryside Humane
Society! A big thanks goes out to
all our friends over at Central
Bark!

Summertime Travel and Your
Animals
Summer in Wisconsin is
beautifully warm, but this is
just a reminder that our cars can
turn in to ovens very quickly
under the hot sun! Please do not
leave your animals or children in
vehicles unattended for even a
minute, as it can warm up to over
a 100 degrees in a very short
time! Animals and children do not
have the skills to open windows
or turn on the air conditioning
system, so please keep this in
mind if you decide to leave them
in the car alone.
If you do notice that someone has
left an animal or child in a car
unattended, please call
Countryside (in regards to
animals) or your local police
enforcement (in regards to
children). We will do our best to
help solve the situation and
prevent any animal or child from
suffering!
There is also a great website
that will help us keep our dogs
safe and cool this summer.

If you are a business owner and
would like to have a flyer on
your entrance reminding people
about the dangers of keeping
animal or child in the car,
please contact DJ at
donaldjames@gmail.com. He will
gladly help you obtain one.

Surrender of Animals from Aquatic
Oddities
A special thanks to everyone who
helped collect and transport the
animals out of the Aquatic
Oddities. Many of these animals
are in critical conditions.
Reptile rescue and specialists
that have training in certain
species of animal are caring for
the animals that were transported
out of the pet store. All of the
animals will receive medical
attentions by a veterinarian this
coming week. Countryside has
received many....more
Countryside
Humane Society is a non-profit
organization that provides animal
control, adoption and other
community services for
Racine County residents, and
cares for approximately 4,400
animals each year. Serving
all eighteen municipalities in
Racine County.
Our
mission is to provide animal
control, adoptions, and other
services to Racine County
Residents. We care for lost,
abandoned, stray, abused and
surrendered animals. We provide
humane care and treatment, and
work to foster the well-being of
all animals through education,
information, investigation, and
action.
Our
Humane Officer has the authority
to investigate abuse and neglect
cases, seize animals and
prosecute when necessary. We
provide twenty-four hour pick-up
of injured animals. We provide
humane education to schools and
interested groups. Educating the
community on the value of
neuter/spay, vaccinations and
regular medical care, licensing,
leashing, and more, are vital and
continuing goals for the Shelter.
Countryside Humane Society makes
every effort to provide a safe,
healthy environment for all
animals, and to speak for those
who cannot speak for themselves.
