Countryside’s “Adopt-A-Pet®” Helps Homeless Animals Find New Homes

Since 1994, The Racine Journal Times has featured a monthly “Adopt-A-Pet” promotion for Countryside’s homeless animals. The ad features ten animals needing homes. In addition to cats and dogs, some of the animals featured throughout the years have been parakeets, guinea pigs, parrots, love birds, rabbits, potbelly pigs and various reptiles. To date, “Adopt-A-Pet” successfully places almost 97% of the animals promoted.

On the Saturday “Adopt-A-Pet®” is featured, Countryside’s staff is very busy. Prospective adopters want to meet the featured animals. Sometimes, if the animal is already adopted, families often find another similar animal needing a home so an “Adopt-A-Pet®” sponsorship also helps those shelter animals too!

You can help a homeless animal at Countryside find a new loving home… Your $20 sponsorship will feature an orphaned pet. Many pet-lovers will sponsor a CHS animal in memory of a beloved family member, friend, or pet.
