Neuter/Spay
One of our most popular programs is our Prevent a Litter Program. Altering your pet will prolong its life and help to stop the overpopulation problem. This program is available to all Racine County residents.
Your animal will have to be caught up with all vaccinations which include distemper, rabies and kennel cough for dogs, and distemper and rabies for cats. You will have to bring proof of the vaccinations to Countryside. (CHS needs the paper work NOT the tags.) Surgery Registration, proof of vaccinations, and payment must be made before an appointment will be scheduled. Once that is done we will call you with an appointment.
Appointments are on a first come first serve basis and could take two or more weeks for an appointment. Extra charges will apply to animals that are obese, pregnant, do not have descended testicles, and other certain circumstances.
The cost for dogs are $110.00 for females and $100.00 for males.
The cost for cats are $90.00 for females and $70.00 for males.
CHS also offers a subsidized low cost spay/neuter program for Racine County residents that meet income requirements. Please call for details.
